What's the Big News?
Warning, warning: this news may be changed INFREQUENTLY over the next 3 months (and I've been so good for the past 3). I am retaking Java 143, the killer course, at North Seattle Communitiy College. Last year when I took the same course, I spent so much time working on it that my entire life was split into work, sleep, study and eating was done either during work or study.
I'm planning to continue my daily running during the next 3 months. It might keep me sane.
What's new or updated on Alwanza?
The April colors are new.
What hi-tech projects am I working on?
At work I'm just about done with my second server (which will go to our Whittier office). Seven additional computers were delivered into my office yesterday (it is getting more challenging to move around in there). I expect to start working on the 3 laptops today and get to the desktops next week.
I feel like I'm starting to grow into the job. Setting up servers has taught me a good deal about Linux that I either didn't know before or knew only in a vague theoretical way. It feels good to have a handle on this stuff.
I haven't done anything about my ISP and Majordomo major headaches. I need to call tech support but I need to have some time when I can do it. That hasn't happened yet.
What else is going on in my life?
Still doing taxes.
Any nature observances of interest?
The first azalea is blooming yellow. Out back in the shade garden, the naked rhodie (rhododendron desquamosa) is in full glorious magenta bloom. I think I may have gotten a couple of goldfinches at my thistleseed feeder. Our lawn is totally out of control, and needs a mowing badly.
