What's the Big News?
It has been snowing here since Friday night.  Saturday morning I woke up and there was snow all over the grass, roads, and newly blossoming fruit trees.  Two months ago I was outside gardening in my tee shirt.  These are confusing times.

My clematis is in full bloom.  It was blooming for a couple of weeks before I was able to smell the fragrance.  This is the first year it has flowered, but there are so many blooms I wouldn't be able to count them all.

I completed taxes a day under the deadline and then was lucky enough to see the presentation of an honorary doctorate of Humane Letters to the 14th Dalai Lama at the University of Washington.  It was a multipurpose visit.  He came to talk about compassion and nonviolence and to inspire the young students to create a better world for everyone.

I'm getting ready to go to LinuxFest Northwest.  This year I have several friends from work attending with me.  I still have to pinch myself when I think that I've got friends who share my enthusiasm for Linux.

What hi-tech projects am I working on?
Work has been almost overwhelming.  The new term has brought new challenges:  I'm helping to get the Computer Forensics class started.  I got the XBoxes communicating with the Windows Desktops so that our Gaming Professor can teach a more exciting class this term.

What else is going on in my life?
I've been waking up with a bullfrog on my mind.  I had to get myself some music therapy.

I've got a long list of people to recontact and tasks to catch up on now that taxes are done.

Any nature observances of interest?
Lots of weird weather.  This may be the second year in a row that the fruit trees don't produce.  Last year it was the bee disease; this year I don't see bees probably because of the hail and snow.  The fruit trees are in blossom.
