Current Projects
What's the Big News?
It feels like Autumn started a week ago. It has been rainy, cold; that chill is in the air. Strange weather this year. The St. John's wort bloomed more than a week late, and now there are second blooms. Very unusual. Two weeks ago the blackberries started becoming ripe for picking. We've been harvesting peas, and we have one tomato that is now ripe; but it looks like the tomato plants I grew under the grow light won't get big enough to bear.
I'm ten pounds lighter than I was at the beginning of my Chiropractic care. Best I can figure is that I'm moving more in subtle ways all the time and that is making the difference. Maybe I didn't even know my movement was restricted before due to discomforts? Whatever the reason, I hope it continues. I like the results.
We took our garden hoses off the timer due to plenty of rain. Plenty.
The Burke-Gilman trail should reopen the rest of the Bothell stretch that is currently under detour soon. But now they have closed off a section between Log Boom Park and Juanita Way. I wish all this was completed. I want my commute back!
At work, communications are better: the new Netops lead is very helpful. I still have a ton of work to do; but I'm learning bunches and feeling good about that.
What's new or updated on Alwanza?
Nothing right now.
What hi-tech projects am I working on?
I'm exploring a linux backup solution for work. I'm learning how postfix and spamassassin work together with Amavisd and Microsoft Exchange server. It appears as if they were not set up optimumly. I'm making some tweaks.
What else is going on in my life?
I'm in the early process of a project I can't mention till it's complete. It is taking up a lot of my time.
Any nature observances of interest?
My allergies symptoms lingered longer than ever this year: until after the trip to Idaho to see Tom's family.
Our plums are ripening, and the apples are almost looking pickable.
